Why am I the only boat out tarpon fishing? We went 5 for 11 tonight. Gasparilla Pass. Go get in on some tarpon bicep curls!

Live baits for sissies.. just kidding, good job. I'm having terrible luck this year, hundreds around me last night and I just couldn't hook one, 6 hits and no connections. Time for me to break out some live bait too.

They are there already. Unfortunately there is no exact temp.

I guess I can't tell since they never bite anyway. I never seem to catch them until July after they get back from the spawn. I'll have to come down there and go with you sometime before then.

72 degrees or more.

If the water is in the 60s, generally speaking, you won't find tarpon on the beach, in my experience.

This year is an early season.

p.s. KM, I'd be careful posting specific spots -- I hear you've had quite a bit of company since this post....

Lol it's been a LONG time since I made that mistake of posting spots up. Sucks to go out where there's usually zero or one boat to see 7 of em. Now, whenever I post a spot, I use a location that I know for a fact there are no tarpon at. Gotta keep em guessing.

It's also why I don't hardly post pictures anymore.
