masthead/anchor light for 167

Looking to make my 167 night-time legal. She has a 135 stern light on the rear of the platform but no masthead or combo anchor light (fwd 225 or 360). I'm thinking about some sort of flip up on the stbd. side of the PP. Any input/ideas/recommendations?

Hadn't seen those before - Interesting idea. What do you do when you have the PP all the way down at night though?

If you're out of the channel can probably use this rule to justify no light above surface.


(e) A vessel of less than 7 meters in length, when at anchor not in or near a narrow channel, fairway or where other vessels normally navigate, shall not be required to exhibit the shape prescribed in Rule 30(a) and (b).

For when my main light goes out, I have a battery powered light that goes on a piece of PVC pipe and then into a poling platform rod holder.. That was all the factory would provide me with when I bought the boat. That could cover the submerged power pole light situation too.
