I use a app called HERE it is free(for now) and does not use DATA unless you want it to. I have used it all over world. So what would I need Tom Tom supported stuff info on my iPhone, maybe that is what apple thinks.

Do not use the Garmin anymore, Waze is too easy, plus the alerts.
