Come on Res. It's common knowledge that Nole recruiters show recruits the "Get out of Jail card." Actually to a degree I think kids should get a 2nd chance( not for **** of or battery). It bothered me to see UF send JC Jackson packing even though he was proven innocent. And yes, that to was being used in recruiting against UF. But after Hernandez, Foley deemed at UF you were guilty until proven innocent and in some cases you were still guilty.
It seems that the new AD has at least given Mac a chance to give 2nd chances when appropriate.

Speaking of felons, there was another side story on NSD. A local football player product of a Catholic school and committed to Michigan State, could not get to the fax to send his LOI because he was in jail for burglary of a firearm.

Nice to see one sports thread on page 1 of OT.

If Robinson has repeated weed violations at UF, then that's on Mac for going to bat for him and he'll take heat. Beyond that, there is no reason to banish the kid to JUCO or WVU for a citation.

I read something interesting about FSU this year; they signed the top player from each of 5 states. Something that no other college has done in recent years. I dunno, thought that was interesting..

FSU did a great job targeting elite prospects outside Florida. They didn't get as much inside the state as usual but there is very little filler in that class.

That is true, and it cracks me up too. I have been a Gator fan since 69/70. Win lose or draw I will always be a Gator fan, not a fair weather fan. I have an FSU friend and he cannot function for weeks if they lose.

College in general has become ridiculously greedy on just tuition alone, its not surprising they have all this money to pay coaches. My wife owed 100k for a Masters in Education from UF. That's absurd, but its like that just about everywhere not a JUCO. About the time we finished paying the loans was when they removed Aaron Hernandezs brick, I like to think our money went to the guy removing it.

NCAA football and basketball are nothing but revenue generators for the respective schools. The benefits to the athletes and the student body are dubious at best, while hangers on, people that would not have job except for the sport are the real beneficiaries.

Plenty of Gator fans just like that, also. As for any team. The worst are Alabama fans. They got more excuses for losing that the Gates, "Noles, and Hurricanes combined. I work with one who still tells everyone who will listen how the score didn't matter, the Tide actually won the NC game.
