We took off about 6:45 yesterday to some decent seas out of SLI. When we hit the stream it was 3-5 with a 2-3 chop. Thought about not going but just slowed down to 25 knots and it wasn't bad. Stream cleaned up for the last 25 miles or so and was almost glassy out front of OBB. We high speeded for about 5 hours and only managed two small hoo's, both about 18-20 pounds. Caught a handful of cudas and lost one of my favorite lures :mad. Ride back was nice and quick. Didn't do any DD and made it back to the house by 5. Overall it was a nice day and worth giving it a shot. Not that many boats over there. Hopefully we can try again after this colder weather moves through and get over there for more than a day.
Good luck out there and maybe the sails will chomp this weekend. :fishing
