Offshore Report Dec 19 - 30th

Been a bit since my last posting, trips have been keeping us fairly busy over these holidays. When the weather has let us go we have been putting the clients on fish. Bite's have been steady on the red grouper, pinfish on fishfinder rigs have been the pretty much go to. Snapper, both yellowtails and mangroves have had the on and off days. Freelined chunk's of thread fin or squid on 30lb flouro have been the ticket. There has been a solid color break out around 90' and have seen it push even further some days with the east current letting you get away with heavier leaders. Some of the highlights have been large mangroves to 7lbs, red grouper topping the scales at 17lbs, Yellowtail maxing at 5lbs, and an Amberjack over 100lb+. Aj was caught prior to season opening and was released, ended up measuring 68" in length, hell I had to give the count to even lift it up as I struggled.

Until Next time,
