Lots of trout

Left MacRaes yesterday at 11am in search of whatever - although trout is my targeted fish . Got out to the Gulf and saw more boats than I have ever seen before . Doesn't anybody work anymore ?:huh Fished in an area less than a mile from the mouth of the Homosassa and proceeded to catch one fish after another , with the first being a Pompano , I know what they are now . Sorry no pictures left my camera at home . I know it sounds like BS , but I believe I caught about 30 trout , mostly small , 12" or so but a few above 15". Caught most on my frozen shrimp bought live from a previous trip . Gulp also worked well . Turned out to be a beautiful day , left the fish biting at 4pm - have to tend to my 3 Labs - wife is in NJ visiting family .

Nah, I believe you, there were times in the distant past when I trout fished where you were fishing and two guys would catch 70 to 80 of them, they would be mostly small ones but occasionally a few keepers would be caught. Fun, glad you got into them, a lot of the boats will leave after the holidays. :)

I don't remember the trout still biting this good out on the flats this late in the year? Nice job. Catch'em while you can and the weather still allows it. I think we're going out Sunday if it's not too bad. We have 3 labs also. Two blacks and a yellow. We take one at a time out fishing because if we took all 3 they would all be in the water before we left the ramp. But they make life a lot more fun.

I almost have the same pic as your profile pic. Since this picture we've gotten a life vest for them like you because they tend to just jump over the side whenever they feel like it.

That looks like an English Lab , that's what ours are. We have 2 yellows and a black . That's Tugger in the picture , it was taken approx. 8 years ago . He will be 12 in 3 months and he is a true gentleman . Our black lab is Samantha , 3 years old and Darla is our puppy at 2 years . My wife will be showing Darla in Tampa next month .

Nice looking puppy ,Gator. joet, yours sounds cool! Lots of trout can happen around here. As it get colder, they will move up into the rivers and creeks. Find the right spot and there will be many.
