Pescador Pilot 12

Anybody peddled one of these yet? I have the pescador 12' and 14', both great boats in my opinion. I'm thinking of upgrading to peddle drive, but can't really see myself putting $2500 into a kayak. The pilot is $1800, not really in my price range either, but it is less expensive.

Looking at the website, the Pescador Pilot isn't built on a Pescador 12 hull. The Pescador 12/14 hull you have are the same base mold as the WS Tarpon 120/140. The Pilot looks like a completely different hull that's wider.

I haven't yet but pretty much decided I am going to get one. I don't mind paddling but for fishing I'm looking forward to having my hands free more and the ability to control my position better.

They aren't the same hull as the pescador and as much as I love my pescadors, that's not a bad thing. This should be a much more stable boat.

I am in the same boat. My pescadores are great, the 12' more so than the 14', but I plan on getting the pilot when I can gather up the necessary funds. Looking forward to peddling and being able to stand up.
