Mosquito Lagoon Redfishing

I made the trip to Mosquito Lagoon to chase some redfish. They have been hard to find around Sebastian lately. I fished with Bobby an hour before daybreak and paddled out to our spot. As the sun came up we were able to spot tailing red. Bobby ended up with 1 trout and 5 reds and I got 2 trout and 2 reds. It was a fun morning on the water.

Inspirational video -- Thanks. I made the trek up there once and was close to skunked for a day and a half of fishing targeting trophies. Have to try it again....have read two books covering that area. Based on the books in comparison to my last visit, place is only a shadow of what it once was as a fishery.

Saw your video recently. I know a lot of people try the Lagoon but end up not finding the fish. This year has been a little bit different. Fish are constantly moving. It is not uncommon to come up empty handed when visiting areas that were productive in the past. That said......Well done Pete. Looks like you found them.

You have to cover some water to find them. Make for a long paddle on some days, but worth it.

Excellent video. Great capturing and editing so we can get the full experience. I'm getting hooked on paddle board fishing big time. I grew up fishing from canals tosailfiah tournaments but the tranquility and intimate up close experience in remote areas is something new to me. Thanks for sharing.
