Put in a little after six in Ozello at high tide. Fished the creeks for reds in the morning. Managed three slot reds but saw a bunch more. All reds were caught on an inline spinner with a gulp jerk bait rigged weedless. Once the bite slowed we headed about 8-10 miles offshore to a rock pile. It was calm so we decided this was a good day to try. Tons of life out there. Caught a bunch of short grouper, grunts, all the spanish mackerel we wanted. Managed a 22" grouper throwing a plug around the rocks. Not sure if I could have handled anything much bigger on my inshore gear with 10 lb braid. The wind picked up a bit so we headed back inshore drifting for trout, managed only one fat 16" and called it a day.
