Election Predictions

cadmancadman Posts: 44,545 AG
Republicans should maintain control of the Senate 51-49

Republicans will easily keep the House at 239 to 196

The Presidential race will be close and there is a chance Trump could win the electoral vote 279 to 259, but I doubt it honestly.

Hillary gets 49% to Trumps 47% with the other guys getting 4%

Hillary wins the electoral vote 301 to 237, it could be as close as 272 to 266.

If Trump does not win both North Carolina and Florida, there is no way he can win the election. Watch these two states early.

If Hillary has 180 by the time the eastern half of states are counted, it is also over for Trump.

What is your honest prediction of the results.

I have it on good authority that Hillary will win the presidency by a wider margin of electoral votes than Obama beat Romney with. Say hello Madam President; it will be another proud day for Americans.

    Dems will take the senate.

    House will stay republican.

The presidency will not even be close but Trump will still claim it was rigged and he only lost because republican leaders would not really back him.

    That is a physical impossibility.

    Very well reasoned.

The oft noted "new voters" for Trump are real........but as they have no recent history of voting, and as so far I've seen no news that they are being represented in the early vote......maybe they don't actually show up? That would be the most consistent action on their part based on prior action.

Wife says I am wrong.......and that fewer women than expected will actually pull the Hillary lever. But then her circle of friends is heavily self employed and all married so not really representative.

Numerous stories are coming in from Texas stating that early voting machines are changing Republican votes to Clinton. This is not a single conspiracy — early voting fraud is becoming a widespread complaint in Texas. This is going to be a contested election for sure. Our models are showing November as an important turning point. So the election process is part II of our Year From Political Hell.

No. Not real. One complaint which was essentially relegated to human error. Regardless, electronic only voting machines should be rejected outright as there should always be a paper trail that can be verified. Also, the concept of a "push here for party line" button is awful and proves people are just lazy and somehow are fine with being uninformed. Any such button should have the image of a lemming on it and if you actually simply push it you should be tossed off a cliff. I early voted and I can assure you I was not party line.

The internet is a dangerous place for some. It has allowed the global proliferation of content specifically written to delude and confuse the gullible without the ability to recognize what's happening.

    True.

But......it's only the delivery system that has changed. Whereas it was once printed and spoken now it's digitized.

Kind of makes the case or voting being harder:huh

The amount of content without any editorial supervision on the internet dwarfs what was and is available in print. The problem some have is identifying the validity of the source.

    Yes.

Do you think as time passes and we accommodate ourselves to the web folks will learn to have a greater skepticism?

Used to be we, as in just about all of us accepted what Chet & David & Walter said without much questioning. Maybe we should have been questioning harder then too?

I don't think Ben is like that. But he really needs to see the greater evil which is a KNOWN quantity. Trump is flawed but a breath of fresh air away from the usual corruption and back room dealing. Worse case is Trump is in for 4 years and he'll not run again. The Skankipotimus might not even make it to coronation but her handlers would prop her up embalmed in a wheel chair to continue their reign of terror for 8 years.

I predict that this will be Hillary's new campaign song....

    "Gangsta's Paradise"

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I take a look at my life and realize there's nothin' left
'Cause I've been blasting and laughing so long,
That even my mama thinks that my mind is gone
But I ain't never crossed a man that didn't deserve it
Me be treated like a punk you know that's unheard of
You better watch how you're talking and where you're walking
Or you and your homies might be lined in chalk
I really hate to trip but I gotta loc
As they croak, I see myself in the pistol smoke, fool
I'm the kinda G the little homies wanna be like
On my knees in the night saying prayers in the streetlight

Been spending most their lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
Been spending most their lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
Keep spending most our lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
Keep spending most our lives, living in the gangsta's paradise

Look at the situation they got me facin'
I can't live a normal life, I was raised by the streets
So I gotta be down with the hood team
Too much television watching got me chasing dreams
I'm an educated fool with money on my mind
Got my 10 in my hand and a gleam in my eye
I'm a loc'd out gangsta set trippin' banger
And my homies is down so don't arouse my anger, fool
Death ain't nothing but a heartbeat away,
I'm living life, do or die, what can I say
I'm 73 now, but will I live to see 74
The way things are going I don't know

Tell me why are we so blind to see
That the ones we hurt are you and me

Been spending most their lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
Been spending most their lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
Keep spending most our lives, living in the gangsta's paradise
Keep spending most our lives, living in the gangsta's paradise

Power and the money, money and the power
Minute after minute, hour after hour
Everybody's running, but half of them ain't looking
What's going on in the kitchen, but I don't know what's cookin'
They say I gotta learn, but nobody's here to teach me
If they can't understand it, how can they reach me
    I guess they can't, I guess they won't
I guess they front, that's why I know my life is out of luck, fool

    Bwaaa-haha....:)

Why.........yes I am.....but I am not so old that I turn every song into an opera.....:) Which is a hell of a hoot if you can get the girls down at the old folks home to sing "If you want my body" by Rod Stewart....I pissed myself laughing, but luckily no one noticed or said a word cause it's a miracle when anyone doesn't **** their pants there :)

Before my last operation I used to get up every day dancing to that song "Cause I'm Happy" by the little black guy who said that he knows Hillary is a thief but vote for her anyway.....:)

Woke up too early this am - and spent a few minutes listening to Coast to Coast - sometimes it puts me back to sleep.

Anyway, the hostess spoke of her time in journalism school. She said one of the profs told the class, you can be a journalist, thoughtfully investigating both sides of an issue and remain poor, or you can be a yellow journalist and become wealthy. Her guest responded - yes, I call the latter 'presstitutes'.

Went on to say investigative reporting is expensive - the NYT and WSJ have recently announced layoffs - (have not yet verified that on the internet tho'.) Some old school journalists lament that the line between straight news and editorialized/opinionated news has become blurred, both in print and broadcast media.

So, we have to become our own investigative 'reporters' by reading beyond the headline, below the fold, and all the way to 23 A...and sometimes the missing pieces are found only in a foreign news service, or on a blog.
