Mixed bag on Lemon Bay today

Kiddo's been bugging me to take her fishing all week so we finally got out on a late morning start today after he soccer game (scored a goal by the way)... All we did was drift and catch fish. Pretty much non-stop action for a couple hours until the tide went slack. Caught several trout, snook, jacks, and one bluefish that she couldn't handle herself. She had good luck dragging a DOA shrimp behind the boat and I was throwing a twitch bait.
No red tide btw.

    Good stuff!

Been considering Lemon Bay with the red tide in Sara Bay. This time last year you turned me on to Lemon Bay and I did OK. Still on my list of where to fish this coming week.

Great job nothing better then fishing with the kids.
If you want to catch Gar go to El Jo Bean. there are more gar then anything and they are 3' plus. I have seen over 10 caught since the cold front came through.

Yeah on Friday night I was out there and there were quite a few of them tail slapping around. I haven't really seen much for gar in the area this year except for early spring... then they just left (along with the mullet and tarpon).

Yeah she loves fishing now. She used to just want to go fast in the boat and messing around in the beach... now she's all about catching fish and never wants to go in.

Tarpon were there Saturday night from 11pm to 3 am. That was when the wind layed down enough to get out there. This wind needs to go away. Since my trolling motor broke I took the batteries out of the front of my boat and now my boat acts like a bobber. ready to put the batteries back just to stabilize the boat.
