Seems like an expensive way to harvest them. Not to mention rough on the internals of the glock. Talk about a super cleaning when it's all said and done at the end of the day.
They are excellent table fare. I've had them several times this year. Seems like a 9mm slug would pretty much ruin the meat. The filets aren't very big to begin with.
Shades of , "taking a sledgehammer to crack a nut" , interesting , but impractical.
If these fish are good to eat and vermin, with no seasons or limits, I am surprised that nobody is going after them commercially.
I appreciate trawling would be too indiscriminate, but live fish traps could work, or something similar that was not as unproductive/expensive as spear fishing.
