Anyone here can give me any general info on Lake Deaton and Lake Okuhumpka? I'm visiting the in-laws in a few weeks and I'll be bringing the kayak up there.
Deaton is a pretty cool little lake. Okahumpka was really grassy several years ago when I tried fishing it. With the rain they should be good to go. Kayak, I would try Okahumpka.
Lake Deaton, there is a ledge on the northeast section, where it starts to narrow in a little bit. Goes from about 3 feet to one pretty quick. I've always had decent luck in there. i'll try to find a map of it real quick to give you an idea

Would that ledge be where the vegetation starts to get heavy ?
