How bout a FS tarpon tournament this weekend?

No prizes (unless somebody wants to donate something essentially worthless).
Honor system. Just tell us what you caught. No pics necessary but we love the pics.
Fish as much as you want from Friday at 12:00 am through Sunday at 11:59 pm.
Winner for number of tarpon caught (you actually have to touch the fish... no leader taps) and a winner for largest estimated weight (do a length and girth measurement and we'll plug it in one of the tarpon calcs).

Might be fun to see how many tarpon we can round up this weekend.

Bummer! I am back home in Ohio. I did catch one juvi under the Boca Causeway last weekend. Never did get one to take a live ladyfish on the beach.

I've been off the tarpon for about a month now. I've mostly been focusing on redfish and just starting the kingfish as well.

Sounds like fun! ... can't do it though; just canceled my trip for tomorrow - my wife's car HAD to go in the shop today, so my truck disappeared to work with my wife and 17 yr old son til tomorrow sometime.
Have not been on tarpon in a few weeks. Last trip out turned into a cobia fest sightfishing them on shallow flats, 2-3 ft of water along the Nature coast.

I went 1 for 5 on juvis tonight. The one I landed was 18 lbs. The other 4 all literally touched the boat... 3 of them by jumping and landing on it and one by swimming underneath it and hitting it from the bottom. Lol... it was a fun night. Guy with me jumped one. We probably missed 15 or so bumps between the two of us also. Met a nice guy with a *****in flats boat at the ramp... Travis. Travis, if you're on here chime in.

Went 0/3 on juvis this am. Wanted to go look for big girls but the wind picked up on the harbor. Bummer.

Hooray my first tournament win. I'd like to thank my sponsors: Pflueger, DOA, Action Craft and Mercury Outboards... none of which are really my sponsors but I buy enough of their gear that maybe they should be. I accept stock options and decals for sponsor payments.
