Last hour or so it appears the eye is moving more north than northwest. Let's hope that trend continues. Look at the radar loops on the Bearpaws http://www.bearpawsweather.com/tropical/ site. The 'purple line' is the expected track and the eye is moving right of that line. It was expected to turn more to the north later, hopefully it is doing it early and stays off the coast.

Could just be eye replacement and a wobble or it could be a direction change. The 5pm update will tell the tale.

Just checked the 4:30 satellite update, matt made a little jump east and is going to slam Grand Bahama, poor Bahamians. But good for my racing sail cat as she is in N. Palm Beach and Grand Bahama is basically due east of my pad, well memory rock is.

Watching this online from the Dominican Republic just sucks

Good luck for those that are riding it out. Hope you've told someone your plans, location and emergency plans should it go sideways. Watchout for flying debris as that may pose a greater threat than the water.

The 5pm NHC chart has the eye moving closer to Stuart.

I'm gonna ride it out here, unless the river reaches floor level, then I'm bailing, literally.

The power just blinked on and off...probably wont be long....

I was seeing that too, but appears to have been a wobble. Nothing changed drastically with the 5pm update.

Walmart and Bass Pro parking lots look like a RV sale with the campers in the lot as of 4:30 . Tallahassee airport is full of private planes from down south as well.

I bailed on riding it out at the beach house in Ormond By The Sea. As stated earlier, two story, top half is frame.Tallest structure 300 ft from the beach and nothing to block the wind. Wife and kids would not take no for an answer so I caved and spent 4 freakin' hours driving across HWY 40 80 miles to Ocala and our home. Fingers crossed the eye with the high winds is far away
