Light weight boat recommendations

I live on a lake and need a boat that I can store in my garage but one man can haul about 50-60' down to the water. So I am looking for a light-weight boat to put a trolling motor on since gas engines area not allowed in the lake. I hassate using a kayak as we have some pretty large gators swimming around.

I think a gheenoe is your solution, it's a canoe with a square back where you can install a trolling motor. You might not even need a gheenoe, you could probably do a canoe as they make trolling motor brackets. You can make or buy a cart with sand wheels to get it down to the lake solo. If you can't find a cart, look at kayak carts for ideas to make or modify. Also look on "No Motor Zone" forums as there might be some for sale at a reasonable price including carts. If you scan in there you might also find some great ideas in outfitting the canoe/gheenoe. Good luck, tight lines and post fishing reports.

I had one of these for TN and FL small lake and pond fishing. It was the bomb. Perfect for one or 2 guys
