Garmin cartography offset on the Bahamas Bank

My Garmin 7612xsv is off by a few thousand feet when we are on the bank deep dropping or HS trolling. This is a real PITA. I have sent a bunch of screen shots to Garmin but so far they know nothing. The land positioning is correct. Current maps and software installed.
Anyone else have this problem?

I've run and delivered a lot of different boats and yes, Garmin is way off between its 'land' cartography and sonar charting. Their GPS is dead on for the most part, but the 'sonar' side actually meshing with your actual depth reading, bleh....

Best I've ever used was Nobeltec, it was spot on, but you typically find nobeltec on the 'big boy' boats running nobeltec software thru a full on computer system at the helm station.

I had same exact problem off west end a few weeks ago . i called garmin they told me i needed a map update . my unit is a garmin4212. customer service was terrible .

Scott, just steal.. I mean...uhhhh.. borrow.. yeah that's it.. BORROW...... the GPS off of "Frenchie" that you fly!!! grin

Seriously, give Bob Cathart at MEI Electronics a call. He and his guys are amazing with Garmin products. I'm not having the issue with dual 7212's but had other issues and they fixed them all.

Thx Eric, but it's not the unit. I started a thread or two on THT. Everyone seems to have this problem even other brands. Is yours working properly?
