Headed out of the port at 0600 to a beautiful sunrise.

Went straight to the mooring balls and started chumming. Huge schools of ballyhoo everywhere, took about 5 minutes to get them behind the boat and then used my newly purchased hoop net, worked like a charm. Caught about two dozen in 15 min and and stayed lively all day. Went South and fished in 70' to 100' in the hopes of catching mutton snapper or grouper. Attempted this for about 4 hours in different spots, missed some nice fish but it was kind of slow. Inshore current was severely lacking. Switched gears at noon and started spearfishing, hogfish everywhere. Got 6 keepers before we had to go. Ocean was flat and a good day overall.
