First off, this day was hands down the most epic day fishing on Shoeless. I had a special request from my cousin Zac to take him and his father-in-law fishing while they were down visiting Orlando. I was more than happy to oblige.
We started the morning out in search of bait and filled the well with nice sized greenies at Shrimpers. Moved over to EC for a quick drop and said good morning to Pat on Daymaker. From there we headed east in search of fishable waters. It wasn’t long before we found what we were looking for with huge mats of weeds with tons of life.
We started to put out three lines and before we could even put one rod in a holder, BAM all three lines start screaming. TRIPLE HEADER SAILS!!!! Thankfully one took off and let us land the first two before cousin Zac fought the third one in. Took some quick picks and ensured all were revived properly. We couldn’t sit back long as when we were fighting the third, the phins moved in on us. Landed a couple slingers and BAM 2 more sails hit the live baits. The sails crashed into each other, broke one off, and the captain got a fourth to the boat. Crazy enough when I got the forth one in, it had the leader and gear from the other it crashed into at the first of the fight. Got one more phin and worked the same area a bit longer. By now we had a chance to sit back and reflect that we just went 4 for 5 on sails and boxed 3 phins all before 9 am.
We also landed a fat cuda and I made a quick phone call to E$ to see if he still wanted it. Sure enough, he wanted it, so I threw it in the box. Eric made the trip up to my place to pick it up and even helped clean some fish for me. It was great to see you Eric and I an very glad you are back on your feet and doing what you do best, putting people on fish on their boats.
We moved in and decided to work the bottom, and it didn’t disappoint. Long story short we landed 3 Lane Snapper, 1 Vermillion Snapper, 5 Black SeaBass, and 2 Trigger Fish from the bottom action.
As Shoeless is about to go up for sale shortly, this was the best way to send her out. A truly EPIC DAY. If anyone is looking for the cleanest most well taken care of Pursuit 2470, hit me up before I post it to the public, and I’ll give you the full run down.

I think its time to bring a Regulator 26 into the family

I wish I have a little bit more space at the house to upgrade but a 26 with a bracket is about the limit. Although I'm not excited about being without a boat for a while, it will be a much deserved upgrade.

I figured you would have that regulator by now.
Hey Jay,
I told myself I would keep the Pursuit for this very trip so I could treat my family and she did not dissapoint. What a truly awesome day on the water. I have two more weeks in my current class, a one week break, and then I start the next. I'll more than likely put the Pursuit of for sale during the break and start looking for the next Shoeless.

Thank you Sir, we had an absolute blast out there.
No worries Dave, I'm always here to help.
Absolutely!!! I would have been stoked to get one sail, let alone a triple header followed by a single for 4.
:thumbsup
Nice work on a great day, Sean!
Thank you, I'll be honest I nowhere near this expectation for this time of year. My guests from WI were completely blown away, as was I!!! I had to make sure and edit out the sound from the video as I can't even count the number of F bombs LOL.
Thanks you Sir!!!! This is a day I will never forget.
It sure was!!!! I'm still on the fence about letting the Pursuit go, it has been an excellent fishing machine. Very popular model that everyone wants. I get offers everywhere I go. I may hold on til I'm done with school so I can seriously look for a replacement. It will be hard to beat this setup, but it's time to let someone else enjoy it and start the next project.
I sold my boat last month and I miss it. I have a couple boats I can use and a few friends that have boats but none of them are mine. I'll get another boat eventually. I just needed to get my priorities straight for a little while. Thanks for the report!
