2 reports in 1 post. Slow then Slammin'

Went out of Caxambas Pass Tues Sept 6th. Not a great tide. Started on the beach and fishing partner did catch 2 snooklets on swimbaits. NOTHING would hit my topwater. Went to the Bubble Houses and caught some large ladyfish. Off to the Morgan River and caught 4 hand size mango's and 1 keep trout. To the outside and found jacks/ladyfish. Went to our trout hole and caught a 16-1/2 and a 15-1/4 trout. Slow day......

Saturday, Sept 10th, again out of the Pass. To the beach and the GF catches a catfish on bucktail jig to start the day:huh. Continuing on the beach, she catches 2 small snook. Into the Morgan and she catches a 16" trout. And the obligatory hand size mangrove snapper. Out to a sunken tree, she catches another trout and a few jacks.
To the trout hole and we caught 8 14" trout. Finally I tag another 16" trout on shrimp/cork.
Moving to the other end of this mangrove stand, I'm throwing shrimp/cork, she a white bucktail Spro. A couple more short trout and then her rod loads up. Large fish! She does a good job of keeping it out of the bushes and finally to the net. 26" redfish for the Inshore Slam! She is a happy girl!

All in all, it was a better day than Tuesday. Water was 83.6f and quire clear inside and out.

Trolling motor took a dump Tues so Saturday was run, anchor, run, anchor. TM is a Motorguide Great Whit, 75lb thrust. Motor stays on constantly and in reverse. Talked to guide at the ramp and he suggested a bad control board......Hopefully not toooooooo $$$$$.

Be safe out there. Taking this weekend off. Hope to be back with repaired TM on the 24th.
