For all of those who a faulting Trump for not asking for money......
The Logan Act (1 Stat. 613, 18 U.S.C. § 953, enacted January 30, 1799) is a United States federal law that forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments having a dispute with the U.S. It was intended to prevent the undermining of the government's position.[2] The Act was passed following George Logan's unauthorized negotiations with France in 1798, and was signed into law by President John Adams on January 30, 1799. The Act was last amended in 1994, and violation of the Logan Act is a felony.
To date, only one person has ever been indicted for violating the act's provisions.[2] However, no person has ever been prosecuted for alleged violations of the act.[2]

It's a BS excuse and you know it, the whole trip could be construed as a Logan Act violation, yet you disingenuously parse out wall payment a being different than anything else that Trump admitted was discussed.
Fact is, he knew he would get called out publicly, so he lied saying that wall payment wasn't discussed. The Mexican President said as much.

Then he has already broken that law by saying he will force Mexico to build that wall. Stating it again would have made no difference to this law. Good try though.

If repeating something makes it true, I just bested you. Argument over. lol
Actually I think the whole Logan Act argument is wrong. Trump was never there as a representative of the USA. He can say what he wants. I just thought it was amusing that someone tried to use it as an excuse for Trumps lack of "cajones" (pun intended)

Calm down, it's got nothing to do with repetition.

That's the point, he didn't ask because he's a coward.
He didn't ask because he doesn't have to and he never will.

Yes, he has the authority to ask whenever he has the courage to. He has the same authority he used when they discussed the building of the wall.
Then you've nothing to worry about.
That doesn't make any sense. The media has you all fired up.
Not true, Trump represent the views of many, so there is plenty to worry about, look how long it took **** to rise to power.

So how does that not apply to everything else that was discussed?
you tell me, I was not there.

We have the Mexican President saying it was discussed. But maybe it's because of the Logan Act that Trump is denying it.
Now you know.
Except as someone else pointed out that would be in violation of the Logan Act.
The showman's credo, any publicity is good publicity.

That's quite wrong.
You might want to check on what was discussed other than the wall. Just saying.

Of course he can. Even when the time comes there won't be a negotiation as such.
Turns out he was right.
