Not buying it. The non back lit clock doesn't use much at all.
Still have the same microwave and clock, clock died late last year. non back lit clock is still keeping the wrong time. 1000w magnetron runs about 15:min a week the small monochrome clock runs 24/7.
So, if you move the clock and put it on the shelf or on top of the refrigerator instead of on the microwave, does it use the same amount of electric? What if you use a battery clock, or a wind-up kind?
