    'Lady,
you've always had a good eye...
I've always enjoyed your posts as well...

a little better equipment might help with the technical aspects....
if you don't want to go for a full blown, large dslr, maybe one of the new mirrorless cameras may suit you...
you have the ability to change lenses and shoot RAW files for processing latitude...
    just a suggestion...

No doubt you're right, mac. This is what I have -

Maybe actually reading the manual would help - my little Pentax Optio under water camera takes better pics. I still enjoy looking at this section but haven't had anything worth posting, imho. (including the above :) - that was for comparison only) Will heed your advice when looking for the next camera.

In the meantime - I really liked those two images taken at Cedar Key. Whatever you did, it was right! I think you should make frameable prints on 'canvas' paper and sell them. Cedar Key is such a rich environment for photo taking. Did you ever see the sunken boat in a little back bayou next to (can't remember the name) a bait shop that also had a produce stand and a deli? Across a side street from the grocery. (I think) Anyway, took a photo and tried to capture it (roughly) in acrylics. Not satisfied but will give it another go or three. :)

    'Lady,
    Thanks for the kind words...
Canon generally makes good equipment, but I really don't know about their P&S cameras as that is a market I don't pay much attention to...
Craig (WE) is road testing some mirrorless cameras so he would be a good "go-to" for recommendations...

the place you are referring to in CK was Fish Bonz owned by former mayor Paul Oliver....
on my last trip the place was gone and I couldn't find anyone who knew what happened to him...I do know the last time I saw him he was suffering from the on-set ALS...

You are right about CK being photogenic...I have shot thousands of frames there...
I have many that I shot over a hundreds of frames on my last trip that I haven't posted....

Fish Bonz - that's it. Sorry to hear about Paul. The little deli had the best Cuban sandwiches outside of Tampa. Cedar Key will always hold a dear place in my heart, even as it changes.

For me as well. We were trying to get back there at the end of this month and do some fishing. We've had to change plans so it may be Christmas before we get back...
there are several images i'd like to shoot. I kind of made a list of targets and the time of day I want to shoot them...
