Mid August - And destroying the bass!

First fresh post in quite some time. Decided to hit a lake in Sarasota last week and do some late eve bass fishing. Was thinking low and slow, as its dead of summer.... Started seeing pops along the bank, threw on a chug bug and began to pick away. Been back daily, after work. With shad being harassed all over the place. In the past week, a buddy and I have plucked approx 75 bass out of this pond. Biggest going around 7 (pic) and avg just under a pound. Trick worms in black and june bug pegged, Zoom Flukes in watermelon, red eye shads, and Pop R/Chug Bugs. Last night in the rain, 1 hour, we landed about 20.
