I have a small Phillips system on my patio and want to separate the speakers more but wire is hardwired to speakers and plugs to system are not standard 3.5 mm.
Can someone please tell me the name of the plug on the left? Shown beside a 3.5mm for comparison.
Thanks.
BTW, That is NOT my finger in the picture!

nothing uncommon. Radio shack will have some ends
Correct on RCA, finding a Radio Shack may be a problem.
lol
It is not a "stereo connector". It's a mono connector, unlike the "3.5mm... stereo connector" shown.
Today they're also used for video.
A "stereo connector" makes 3 connections Left, Right & ground. RCA/Phono plugs are strictly 2 connections.
I use Monster brand RCA cables for the best picture possible.
DirecTV decided to "use those crappy things for video" on my new receiver. You'd have no choice with an older TV, if it lacked HDMI input, the new DirecTV receiver has no coaxial cable output.
Had to go out & find an RCA/Phono plug to coaxial converter to supply signal to old spare TV in workshop.
DirecTV told me "for the best picture possible" you've got to use HDMI. Coaxial cable for video was always considered better than RCA/Phono plug.
Make sure you get the low oxygen type too.
