out of control Cyclist kills woman and her unborn child
PICKENS COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Joshua McSwain says he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Rose Higgins. They had two kids together and one on the way.
“We were best friends for years,” McSwain said.
Everything changed while out for a walk last Friday, July 22, when Higgins was hit by a cyclist.
“All I saw was him going over the handlebars, hitting her in the face,” he said. “Last thing I was remembered was her head slamming down on the pavement.” Investigators say the accident happened around 9:45 p.m. on Mount Olivet Road near the Weatherly Drive intersection. Higgins was about 6 months pregnant when she was rushed to the hospital.

“My mind automatically went to the baby,” McSwain said. But the baby girl, Charissa, ultimately did not survive.“I got to hold her while she was still here.”

They were holding on to hope, praying Higgins would pull through after being pronounced brain dead Tuesday afternoon.
“I called a lawyer and just tried to get her some time to get better,” McSwain said. “We’ve got two sons and I love her. I was planning on spending the rest of my life with that girl. I just wanted her here.”
Her organs will be donated after Higgins is taken off life support.
“There’s always going to be a little bit of Rose somewhere, know what I mean,” McSwain said. “There’ll be somebody benefiting from her.”

Why did you change bicyclist to "Cyclist" and add "out of control".
It's not a difficult thing to answer. You must know. You began this thread including it in the title after all.

she is a very nice down to earth lady, I was hoping so of that would rub off on poor CCC if he would just step away from the five monitors he watches all day long
