We managed 11 or 12 short trout before the armada of scallopers over took us. Never did find a keeper size fish.
Around 11 or so we decided to see if we could find some scallops away from the flotilla. Idled around for a few minutes until we saw a couple swimming and dropped anchor. It was on from the first drop, moved 3 times maybe 100 ft each move. Each stop was better than the last. The 3 of them managed our 4 man limit in less than 2 hrs. I don't snorkel so they had to do all the work while I kept watch for idiots.
Headed in before the storms came in and cleaned scallops and had a good supper. Poor man's lobster with a few scallops mixed in and grilled chicken wings.
A good time with a good crew.
Tommy even stayed awake on the boat.
