Morning Beach Walk

Decided to go mess around with the 7wt and see if I could put a hook into some of the small snook in the surf. Hooked into this girl, she was a little bigger than I was expecting.

Beautiful fish! I was thinking on walking the surf early tomorrow with the high tide. Where was this? City, at least? I've not been to the beach much this summer, but last year I didn't see a single snook here in Boca/Highland Beach (Palm Beach Co) and I walked up and down many times until I gave up...

I have been out the last three mornings. Not really sight fishing just casting at bait pods. I'm up to the north some. I am sure there are fish down your way just work the trough hard. A lot of blind casting :banghead . If you want to come up PM me I'll meet you out there.

Yea on her first run the reel was singing. Not often do I get to the backing. I'm not sure what you'd call this, I tied it the night before.

Nice snook. I think that's called a half-n-half. Half clouser half deceiver. And thanks for showing the fly too.
