Tarpon time again...

I had a chance to do some tarpon fishing again this year, in Tampa Bay. Mostly used bait I caught on a sabiki rig. The tarpon came in on their migration and left at the new moon, but it was great while it lasted. Lots of boats target them, I've seen up to 50 at the same time in the pass but very few kayaks. The currents can run really strong and sometimes the best I can do is hold position against it while paddling or pedaling as hard as I can. Anchoring can be an event but that is part of the challenge of fishing there. Tried to keep the video to manageable length - hope you enjoy watching it.

Looks like some on Fire Tarpon fishing -- alot of fun ! I like the idea of the buoy shock absorbing the pull of the current -- Thanks.
