lets look at homosexuality purely on a scientific basis, if you put 10,000 gay men on a island and 10,000 lesbian women on another with no means of artificial insemination and no way for a them to come in contact with a member of the opposite sex, how would they reproduce? if they could not reproduce how could you claim that it natural to be homosexual? would they not have the ability to reproduce if it were?

I don't use artificial sweeteners either, does that mean I have a phobia of them? no I just don't care about them.

And FWIW, I've worked with people of the LGBTQ persuasion in nuke power and other jobs. As long as they did their job and I did mine, I didn't care what they did on their off time. None of my business. I don't care now, either. Getting the jobs done safely and in a timely manner was all that mattered. They got to paddle their own canoe, same as me.

I believe in equal rights, but not special rights. Example: A cop gets killed and all the rest of the cops go batscat crazy hunting down the killer; your neighbor gets offed by a burglar and it's just a standard "ho hum" investigation. Does that make any sense? It doesn't if you believe all lives are equal.

There is no valid evidence to support religious dogma. Therefore it is mere ignorant superstition. There is no other choice.

If the motivation for discrimination against 'the other' isn't fear then what is it? When innocent people are murdered then it is because the are unreasonable feared.

Religion is based on faith. The very definition of faith is believing in something with out any proof.

If you are insulted by the comparison with ISIS then you should look at what beliefs about LGBT people that you share with them.
Those common beliefs are what is insulting.

I just had a picture badge with a magnetic strip for the door card readers. :rotflmao It was good work in the 1980s and 1990s, but in 2000 it got to be a drag. Paperwork load exploded and Mickey Mouse managers and rules from everywhere made it near impossible to do the job.

When I left in 2003 I put a half gallon of liquid laundry detergent into the filter for the fountain by the admin building. When they fired up the fountain a month after I left my friends told me it was pretty foamy out there. Fountain was about 2 feet in diameter in a sunken area about 3 feet deep and 20 feet in diameter with benches around the outside perimeter. They said it filled up the whole thing. They took fingerprints; I wore gloves; game, set, match!

I was in Operations, and we messed with EVERYBODY! And that would include our own managers; they were pretty gun shy after a while.
Powerhouse cats and possums found their way into desk drawers all over the office building, too. It was a mystery how they got there.

Lets start with the proposition that belief in something that doesn't have empirical proof must be superstition. For tens of thousands of years everyone KNEW that the Earth was flat. Anyone who believed otherwise was a heretic. There was no discernible proof to the contrary. Was the popular belief true - no. They just didn't have the technology to know better. Arguing that the absence of "proof" means something doesn't exist is a logical fallacy. Lack of proof doesn't disprove somethings existence or it's existence. All it "proves" is that there is no proof. You didn't present an argument on your point that having faith must result from unreasonable fear. You also misunderstood (or misrepresented) my comment on ISIS. I repeat - it's not argument - just an insult. Perhaps you could give me your argument on your position that faith must result from unreasonable fear?

The technology to understand the shape of our planet was not needed. All it took were eyes and logical deductions. It is called science. It is as different from religion as a oranges are from bricks.
