The newest national monument.

I found it very amusing that 50 years ago, New York City had a law prohibiting the sale of acholic beverages to homosexuals.
That's funny.

We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their CREATOR, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

When I was a little kid living in a small town in southeast Florida our U.S. post office
    had two drinking fountains:

    One "WHITES"

    One "COLORED"

There was no mail delivery. You had to go check your box at the post office.

There was also one police officer -- The Chief. For white people only.

The blacks lived west of the railroad track and took care of their own.

Crime was almost non-existent and the usual penalty was to escort them to
the edge of town and told to never come back. Some, I guess, also received
    a beating.

How is it that someone who disagrees with a particular belief or lifestyle has a phobia?

It is not believing in the rights of others...christians believing that "god" made individuals are heathens is an anomaly.....

The word phobia means irrational or persistent fear. I doubt Fins fears homosexuals but rather disapproves of their actions probably based on his religious teachings and beliefs.

You, and everyone else, disagrees with someone else's beliefs does that mean you have a phobia?

Didn't have to be a small town.I remember the colored and white water fountains at J Byrons in Hialeah when I was a kid.

But they were progressive enough to have gender neutral bathrooms! One white, one colored!

"Argument" by insult and conclusion. I hear this form of "argument" all the time - from both sides of the isle. If some one disagrees they are and idiot, a racist, etc. No facts to support their position - just insults and unsupported conclusions. If you disagree with the "conclusion" the same pattern emerges - a conclusion that by disagreeing you are a "fill in the blank". To me this is pretty much the same level of argument as "I'm rubber, your glue, what you say bounces off me and sticks to you". Maybe we could up the level of discourse a bit and maybe even a bit of courtesy (i.e. no personal insults). It's a ton of fun to engage in serious and respectful argument. Everybody is stimulated and if the arguments are skillful everybody learns something. Try it - you'll like it.

That's better - asking questions of the opponent is one of the proper ways to develop facts to support or refute a position in the argument.

My comments weren't directed to the merits of your position or your opponents. Rather they are directed to the method of argument. It is of very little consequence to me what he, or you believe. This particular debate (whether someone is/isn't homophobic) is so old and played out it has no value to me. You two are arguing whose personal belief is right or wrong. You disagree. The method of argument being employed won't lead to any conclusion, just back and forth name calling. I just thought it might be fun for you guys to debate the MERITS of your respective positions.

homophobia or homophobic are just words made up by the leftist main stream media. If you break them down the meanings makes no sense.

The popular definition morphed from people being afraid of homosexuals. Politics via activist homosexuals changed the meaning to aversion or discrimination. I know many people who disagree with the homosexual lifestyle based on moral and/or religious reasons yet do not hate or discriminate against homosexuals. While I do not agree with their moral or religious beliefs I know they do not hate or discriminate.

Saying everyone who condemns the homosexual actions and lifestyle battles and discriminates is painting with too broad a brush.

I agree. Well reasoned and a valid point. I would also point out the hypocrisy of claiming that anyone who disagrees with homosexuality is homophobic (the idea being that any such individual is guilty of stereotypical thinking) while the claim itself is stereotypical as you pointed out.

Homophobic is accurate because the view that being LGBT is a sin is nothing more than ignorant superstition.

And that ignorant superstition is based on an unreasonable fear. That's the very definition of phobia.

Why else would mobs burn homosexuals at the stake? Were they dissatisfied with their hairstyling? Afraid they'd break in their house and rearrange the furniture?

But The Taliban, ISIS and Al Queda certainly agree with your view. Maybe y'all could get together and compare notes.
