12v DC Shop Vac For Scallop cleaning?

I don't like bringing guts home with me, has anyone tried something like this (or using an inverter) off a 2nd battery?

I have tried the shop vac. In my experience the vac can suck some meat off and also there wasn't much time savings. Plus cleaning out the shop vac is a pretty nasty job. I always just went with the spoon.
