Not good. It's been a long time since I did it but I used some freeware undelete software and it worked just like it was a HDD. Don't write anything new to the card obviously before you try or some blocks could be overwritten.
You might google what happened and the TV brand to see if others have experienced the same thing. Maybe there's a magic bullet.
1. Look at what is left, as capacity, on the card. If it is not. If you have a second similar card. Compare the capacity of that second card. Are they the same or different? If they are different then the photos are still there.
Your options are to use some software available to the consumer.
Lastly, if none of that works. Your last resort, if it is a reputably branded card, ie, say, Sandisk or Lexar, you can send it to them to test your guarantee.
I really hate the trend to sd cards for dslr's.
my 6D uses them only so I've had to buy new cards. I don't trust sd cards as I have had too many fubars with them.
my 7D MK II uses both cf and sd cards. I only put cf cards in it.
never had a cf card go bad on me...

I would suggest reading through this article for an understanding of what is going on and what an SD card is. https://www.cardrecovery.com/sd-recovery/
