Hocking Hills State Park located south of Columbus is a great spot for photos. High cliffs, up to 200 feet, deep gorges, and several waterfalls from 90 feet to a few feet There are six state parks within a short drive or hikes.
I had a 4 hours window, had to be in Northern Ohio by 6 pm. I picked out three, Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Old Man Cave, State Parks and hiked fast, need 2 full days to cover all 6 parks right.

if you could get back there when the lighting might be a tad better, you should be able to bang out a few "wall hangers"....

A 2-stop circular polarizer would have done wonders, too.
