Thinking about doing a day trip to lake O in July and trailering my 18 foot mako from jupiter. What's the fishing like in July? Best place to put in? Just wanting some insight. Have fished the local ponds and canals, never made the trip out there though. Any insight is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Leave your boat at home and hire a guide. It's a big lake and takes a while to figure out, especially in the hot summer water temps. Hiring a guide the first few times you go out on her will be the best investment for learning. Tell the guide you want to learn the lake as much as you want to fish.

Just put in at Okee Tantie and be on a Kissimmee Grass edge before the sun comes up. Throw swim jigs and top water plastics. At about 7a. start flipping. About 9am I head to the house.
