I took my son and one of his friends down to Ft Lauderdale on Sunday to catch some snakeheads and peacock bass. We started the day off fishing for snakeheads and we went 5 for 9 on them in a couple of hours with a few large mouth bass mixed in. It was cool to see my son's friend catch his first snakehead. The biggest snakehead was around 5 lbs and the biggest large mouth was around 3 lbs. Everything we caught fishing for snakeheads was caught on top water frogs. We switched gears and headed to some of our favorite peacock bass areas and ended up catching around 30 peas between the 3 of us along with a few large mouth bass mixed in. the biggest pea was around 3 lbs and the biggest large mouth was about the same. All of the fish we caught peacock bass fishing were caught on live bait with circle hooks. We got home just as it was getting dark. it was a lot of driving and walking but it turned out to be a great day on the water!
