Yellowfin Tuna Madness!!! – Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge – May 9-18, 2016

We fished 9 days and hosted 3 great groups May 9-18, 2016 here at Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge on Isla Paridas in the heart of the Gulf of Chiriquí, Panama. The Yellowfin Tunas are here in full force! The bigger Tunas are hanging around Hannibal Bank as is the usual cycle this time of year. We caught some nice ones up to 180# and missed a couple that were definitely bigger. If you are looking to put your gear to the test this is the place…as no fish pulls harder and longer than a Panama Yellowfin Tuna! We also got few nice Wahoo and the inshore fishing was good as well. Chef Mark has been doing a great job “wowing” the clients with his culinary creations! Looking forward to a couple more groups with 8 more days offshore just this month so stay tuned!

Thanks again Cap! We had a great trip, and hope to get back there soon. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone thinking about a bucket list Central American fishing trip. Eat your weaties before you go because you will be in the 'Epicenter' of big game fishing on this side of the world.

We got at 240# YFT with Drew Herma and KC Scott of HUK (will be on the upcoming episode of Money Fish) and we got a 257# just last week!
