Hi everyone,
Im new to Fort Lauderdale and would really like some local help for any fishing spots. (even bad ones will do)
Im right on the corner of E Oakland Park Blvd and N Ocean Blvd.
Does any one have any ideas how to get access to the inland water ways to fish in this area? In the image attached i have circled the general area.

It seems most of it is blocked off to the public.
Is it worth fishing in there? Should i be looking more to the west?
Right now ill be happy to catch anything at all. All i have been getting is bait fish on the beach.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Was going to suggest the same. The map is mostly private property. Bridges can have activity, but you may need to put in some time.
Try the pier, cast a hard bait or silver spoon into the surf lines where the waves break. Should be able to catch jacks, ladyfish, cudas. If you can get some live baitfish, just toss them out with a standard bottom setup. Something will hit it eventually. Just make sure you're using enough wait to keep your line from moving. Tangles are a pia on the pier. Similar strategy if you fish the beach.
Going further west will take into freshwater. Bass, catfish not uncommon.
