Wahoooohoo! Well that is my first and hopefully many more to come.
Headed out of SI at 630am due east. Started seeing flying fish around 90ft. Dropped lines around 130 heading for deeper water. When we got to 180+ without seeing any bait decided to turn around and fish close to the flying fish. Double hookup with the dolphin at 155ft but one got off immediately. This one wasn't as lucky. Lines back out and hooked up with the wahoo around 130ft about an hour later. Winds picked up and back at the ramp by 130.
Winds: Southeast 10 to 15
Weather: Beautiful
Bait: Skirt ballyhoo and chugger skirt ballyhoo (surface)
Speed: 6.5mph
Water: Temp 79, clear blue and choppy
Good things come to those who get off their lazy butt and work for it.
