Jupiter 30April2016

With cousins in town we had the plan to cash in on the strong dolphin bite. Then we saw ScottR's report from Friday.

We had a plan so we went fishing.

We hit the ramp at 7am. Parking was TIGHT. We finally pulled out at 0730. i told the good doctor that I wanted to fish north, off the Loran tower, so she headed 120 degrees out of the inlet.....

We trolled a mixed spread (2 9-11" lures for my pleasure, 1 skirted bally, the shiny sparkly, and a daisy chain). We worked the 100-400 range that had been producing rips to no avail. We then headed deep and back in. Finally, as we were trolling in to take lunch somewhere by water, a pair of blackfin whacked our small baits. Nice = seared tuna dinner.

Had I not had family in town, I might have paid closer attention to Scott's report and stayed home. Still, a good enough day.

Where did the good dolphin bite go?
