Its not worth it for me unless I find a good deal on a used one.

Miller is the best(imho) we bought a Millermatic 210 about 15 years ago. It was a big jump up in performance and price from the Tombstone. It's great machine and when I got tired of switching back and forth to stainless I went looking for used one. The price for the used ones were more than what we paid originally. After six months of looking I broke down and bought a new 212. It's a beautiful machine and even smoother than the 210. A few years back at an Auction I bought a Miller Synchrowave 250D Tig welder. It took awhile, but we got it cleaned up and running smooth and that added a lot of versatility to our lives. Miller rocks !!!

I'm a big fan of miller for commercial applications.
Home use it's not that important.

    question-what does "duty cycle" mean?
This looks like an inexpensive, yet practical tool for the work truck
I was not born stupid, just had lots of practice

Welding. It's what holds the world together.

    Wish I knew how to

100% duty cycle means it is rated to weld continuously.
50% means it can weld half the time it is on.

It comes down to % of a hour it is on and you are welding with it.

I have only over worked one tig torch the machine is still fine but I melted down the tig torch.

Ponder this, what if every weld in the world failed right now?
