Make sure to show up to the ramp late so you aren't fighting with the yahoos trying to back their boat down the ramp for the first time in six years.

I tried that last weekend! Went down at 10 and never did find a place to get in. I don't mind them so much since I have put in twice since 1998. And that was with an 18' runabout. Now I'm trying to do it alone with 24' twin engine Grady that is 75% worn out! Maybe if I get lucky I can run it over a sandbar again!

Pulled the boat out at 7:30pm yesterday and talked to a gentlemen just arriving. I asked what he was going for that late. He said he's trying to beat the crowd Saturday morning so he's going to sleep in his car and try and be the first one out.

It was nuts yesterday morning but it went surprisingly smooth. I was shocked pulling up to a line at 5:45am though

I got to the ramp at about 8:30 and was next in line. Not bad at all. Packed when I went home though!
