The day started off a little choppy, left over from yesterdays SE wind, but by 9:00am it was calm due to no wind.
Went to Bull Shark and the bait were thick, in 20 minutes we blackened the bait well, the sardines were on the outside of the giant schools of greenies and we like the sardines much better. Stan said lets try Evans Carry for cobia, and the only thing we got were world record size blue runners. Next up was troll to locate the dolphin that everyone has been catching, and the first fish of day was a bonito on a bally, then a real acrobatic sail smaller than the ones in the winter, I got him to the boat and Stan reached down and cut the mono leader by it`s mouth and he was still lit up when he swam off, I wish everybody would release them in that manner, much less stress on the fish rather than trying to get the hook out, by the way we do not use stainless steel hooks, the ones we use get rusty after one trip. Trolling north in 110 feet we got our first dolphin 4 schoolies, then we did not get another hit trolling for about two hours, so we set out live sardines in 110 ft and as soon as we did we get 2 more schoolies, right after that not 2 minutes later a large bull blasts the outrigger bait on the surface, and after a galent fight on light tackle Stan gaffed him and in the cooler he went, then we managed 2 more schoolies and that was it. Stan will post the pictures as reply.
Thanks to everyone for all the helpful info, Eagle.
