Port Canaveral public reef numbers...

Anyone have a link to them, friend wants to hit 8a and pelican flats he said... I can't seem to find a list of the public reefs. Plan is to troll for dolphin, which would be fun since I haven't been far offshore in the Atlantic for a number of years.... Thanks.

Hot spots map and most likely you will have to go out further for mahi.
They have been spanking the the mahi over the last few weeks in 150' to 250'

I generally drop lines in about 120, there's no fences out there. Ive lost track of the times I've been out in 250-300 and heard guys catching them in 120-170, hell, even 65ft. Keep your ears tuned to 68 and your options open.

As you go look for sign, color change, Temp change, weeds, floating objects.

I have had my best luck catching fish over some kind of bottom structure. ridge, ledge, steeple, wrecks.

And ask the bait shop where the bit is when getting bait they get the most up to date info.

I have had sails in 85' out of Ponce.
We were going to bottom fish a rock pile.
Decided to troll for kings a little, put the lines out about a mile before the rock pile.
Bamm 2 kings in the box, got on top of the rock pile bamm 2 mahi in the box.
1/4 mile past the rock pile broke off one sail released another.
Then we went to bottom fishing and loaded up on triggers, red eyes, black sea bass.

Here are general numbers for 8a (N28 29.991 W80 20.674) and for pelican flats (N28 14.264 W80 14.394), it's a public reef and these numbers are available to everyone. You'll have to scoot around in that area to find the ledges, there are some nice ones out there. Mahi bite is hot right now. If you head to the 20 mile buoy (http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=41009) and work that east into 130-200 you should have some luck. Ripcharts.com has some great Sea Surface Temperature charts, right now it looks like the stream has pushed out to around 300ft, but there are some nice fingers of warm water running into the edge of 200. Use this as a road map to fish out there, it will help tremendously. Good luck and tight lines, a little info like this can really make some one's fishing day.

Lines in at 120' and out to 220' yesterday... nada. Went back to 130' and found a small rip and got 3 in the box. Picked up 2 Kings at Pelican flats with another pulling a hook on way back in. 8A reef didnt even get a knock down last week for me. YMMV
