TAKING KIDS TO MARKHAM PARK??

THINKING OF TAKING MY 9 YEAR OLD AND 3 YEAR OLD TO MARKHAM PARK ON SATURDAY. HAVE NEVER FISHED THERE, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF IT'S WORTH TAKING SOME RODS OUT, AND WHAT SHOULD I RIG UP TO MAKE IT FUN FOR THEM. I DON'T MIND USING ARTIFICIALS BUT I WANT THE KIDS TO HAVE IT A LITTLE EASIER. ANY INPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

I am not sure about the lakes inside the park? I must admit they to look fishy.

Now the canal that borders the west side of the park that separates the Park from the Sawgrass is full of peacock bass.

I would bring a few dozen shiners if you have anyway of keeping them alive and throw out a few. I am sure they will catch a few.

B J s bait. Really close to Markham Park. Google it.

Yea definitely worth fishing there. Pick up some shiners from BJs and toss em out in any of the canals. I've caught a good amount of peacocks this way.
