water quality

given the reports of the brown algae bloom receding, how has the water quality improved in the last two weeks or so near sebastian? lets say long point area south to wabasso...

gradual improvement or are we still looking at day to day variations?

guess what I really want to know, has any sight fishing been possible or should I leave the long rods at home? lol

I bet it is still tough, unless near the inlet on an incoming tide. I would try some of the feeder creeks on the west side of the intercostaland site cast to small tarpon and docks for snook
Make the forum great again.....consolidate general fishing with for sale or business but keep reports separate!

Water was very clean 4/29 just north of the Wabasso bridge. Incoming tide definitely helps. The clean water moves around lately. As far as sight fishing, it's tough because the fish are holding on points or bait pods, not on the flats.

thanks for the responses, I fished north of the inlet 4/30, found some clean water on a few flats but they were moonscapes and the only life I saw was about a dozen bonnetheads, couldnt get them interested in any of my flies...sure wouldve been fun though lol

ended up finding a school of smaller trout holding off a point in deeper water and a stray jack was able to give me a good run on the 7wt

I found good water all throughout that area this weekend.
