Seen that play out many times while trolling out of marathon. Little dudes catch hell from below and above. Frigates will snatch them just inches from the surface without ever touching the water. It's an amazing thing to see.

I few years ago we were out near the hump and saw a couple frigates...then saw the flying fish skying with the dolphin in hot pursuit. We were trying like mad to get in front of them but never could get one to take our baits. Saw one Dolphin about fifteen poundsjust off the bow chasing a flyer and it turned completely on its side swimming just under the surface, I guess to get a bead on the flying fish. It was crazy.
