I think this particular image would work better if there were some clouds to add some interest. In color it shows an overall hazy redness that works pretty well but it doesn't translate to B&W well at all.
Thanks Suz, I just grabbed that image on a whim. I know I have many shot from that spot with clouds and such. In fact, I will be there Monday for 3 days.

I've played with silver effects but still prefer topaz b&w...
never the less it's a good image.....

Capybara's are vicious and should not be let alone with small children. In-laws are another matter.............
Topaz Labs BW is more easily global. Local effects or changes are more troublesome.
Chuck, I would have tried a vignette or a bit of burning in the sky, but that is just me.
I would have also cloned out the leaf of grass that cuts through the boat, but again that is just me.
Nice clean image - very graphical - nicely done.
