Still catching sheepsheads 3-29-16

After the big El Cheapo sheepshead tournament many anglers seem to turn their backs on this delicious fish right when they are reaching their peak activity around the Mayport area. I fish them continuously each year from late winter till early summer with good success. Went out to the Mayport jetty twice last week before the rains came and scored 8 nice sheeps each day with some big loses. Yesterday I went again after the last of the rains and boated 5 with a 4.5pd as my biggest. Also lost several large ones. They are biting good from the mid-outgoing tide to low tide when the current dies. I use fiddlers which I usually catch myself at spots along the ICW. The legal keeping size is 12 inches but they are so plentiful this time of year that I always throw back any under 13 inches to grow some more. Here's some pic of my recent catches.:USA
